THE ACTOR WHO masterminded the coolest, most surreal, trippy series you've probably never seen, The Prisoner, has died. Patrick McGoohan died in Los Angeles on January 13th aged 80. The montage below is from The Prisoner's final episode, during which McGoohan - driven by obsession and perfectionism - was in complete meltdown. It shows. Lunacy like this wouldn't get past the number crunchers and the focus groups these days.
