This is 18-year-old Seydou Diarrassouba, who was stabbed to death outside Footlocker on Boxing Day.

Eleven people, ranging from 16 to 22, have been arrested. Kanyangarara is the twelth teenager to be murdered in London this year.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister David Cameron's Conservative government is closing projects designed to prevent young people joining gangs, The Guardian reports.

But Cameron and his government of millionaire public schoolboys needn't worry about their own offspring becoming victims of knife crime: their children will go to the very best schools, in the most privleged areas, well away from the rabble.

This is 15-year-old Negus McClean, the fifth London teenager to be murdered in the city in 2011.

On Sunday evening, he was chased by up to nine other boys in Edmonton, North London, after he tried to stop them stealing his younger brother's phone. He was then cornered and stabbed repeatedly.

The Metropolitan Police say, "He's being chased it would appear by seven, eight, nine young men, all on mountain bikes, it would appear as well. He turns up into Westminster Road, where he is actually attacked. He's stabbed a number of times."

In January, Wing Ho (18), Kasey Gordon (15), and Daniel Graham-Thompson (18) were all stabbed to death. Also that month, Ezekiel Amosu (17) was pushed under a TfL bus.

In 2010, 19 teenagers were murdered in London.

A 16-year-old has been charged with the murder of 18-year-old Wing Ho, in Haringey, east London.

His death makes him the first teenager to die as a result of violent crime in London this year; he suffered a single stab wound to the heart. His alleged attacker will appear in court next month.

This story received almost no coverage in the mainstream press, in sharp contrast to the murders of black male teenagers this year. Not a cosy fit for the BLACK! BOY! GANG! CRIME! narrative, guys?

This is 18-year-old Rio McFarlane. He is the fifteenth teenager to be murdered in London this year.

McFarlane - described as a promising footballer - was shot dead in Peckham, South London, on Monday.

His brother Anthony said, "No one had any reason to shoot him. He was just a good, likeable teenager. The whole family is absolutely devastated. We are missing such a bright, vibrant character, a loving character who has been taken from us. He is irreplaceable."

Rio's murder is the first teen death since 16-year-old Ailton Campos de Oliveira was stabbed to death in July.

In 2009, fourteen teenagers were killed.

FOURTEEN

This is 16-year-old Ailton Campos de Oliveira, the fourteenth teenager to be murdered in London this year.

Nicknamed "Banana Man" by friends, he was stabbed 13 times - eight times in the chest, three times in the leg, and twice in the back - by a gang described by a witness as a "fleet of bike riders".

Some friends claim that the murder was fuelled by "girls winding up the gang over the handsome Catholic school pupil".

The attack on Ailton came less than two days after the death of 15-year-old Zac Olumegbon (right). Ailton was stabbed on Sunday, but finally lost his fight for life yesterday.

The number of kids murdered in 2010 already matches the total for the whole of 2009.
