Another Gay Movie

FILM SKOOL

The 15-Year Anniversary Director's Cut of Another Gay Movie is more outrageous than ever!

Andy Wilson (Michael Carbonaro) is your typical All-American seventeen-year-old gay virgin. Like everyone else, he's dying to have sex. Totally out of the closet and mad crazy horny, this naive high school senior is caught in that awkward vortex between child and adult. Much to the dismay of his mom, Mrs. Wilson (Lypsinka) - who wonders why all her carrots and cucumbers keep disappearing - Andy spends much of his private time practicing for the big moment when he'll finally take the plunge. What follows is a raunchy ride on the bumpy road to virginity loss. Along the way, the film spoofs not only American Pie and gay movies like The Broken Hearts Club and director Todd Stephen's own Edge of Seventeen, but the entire gay lifestyle is up for skewering.

The new Another Gay Movie: 15-Year Anniversary Director's Cut includes an introduction and audio commentary by Todd Stephens, a staged script reading, original audition tapes, interviews, Nancy Sinatra's making of Another Gay Sunshine Day and much, much more!

Matthew Rush, Part II

IT'S A MAN'S WORLD AND YOU MEN CAN HAVE IT

It's been fifteen years since Matthew Rush's debut feature, in Falcon's Bounce (2000). Today, he's generally acknowledged as the last real porn star.

From Frisky Fans, who have an excellent writeup of his career: "Happy faced, ruby lipped muscle titan Matthew Rush arguably is the last of this special breed. From the start, Falcon Studios groomed him to be an exclusive model. After rapidly generating huge success, he inked a contract to the studio's Lifetime Exclusive. And unlike [Joan] Crawford, Rush never ever became box office poison.

A company scout first contacted Rush while visiting a gay bar in Ohio. During this time, Rush worked as a personal trainer with a degree in Exercise Physiology, his original profession which he has recently returned to. Keeping his body in top shape clearly made him stand out as a prospective porn star. At first, Rush considered the idea of working in porn purely a fun fantasy. Several years later, Rush got the nerve to contact the studio for a follow-up. The studio flew him to California, where he auditioned. This audition ended up in his Alone With movie scene."

Here's the second in a two part series of a special KAOS Matthew Rush retrospective (the first part is here), comprising nearly five hundred pictures - after all, too much Matthew Rush is never enough.

Be sure to follow Matthew - aka Greg Grove - on his always entertaining Twitter.

MATTHEW RUSH IS DEAD

Matthew Rush? Dead?! How? Why! He was so young...

Well, Matthew Rush isn't dead, but the search query "Matthew Rush dead" is one that keeps popping up in the keyword analysis StatCounter provides for this blog. Those searching for news of Matthew Rush's death land here. Maybe some of you are confusing Rush with Brett Mycles...? An assortment of eye candy features regularly in the top keywords - most prominently the Goffney twins. You're also searching for Brian Putzy (or parts of him), Do Começo Ao Fim (the year's most anticipated film), and, er, porn sex dady prancis. I've no idea what that even means, much less why it would direct to ka-os|theory.

Here's the top 10 search queries...

01. The Goffney Twins

02. Brian Putzy dick

03. Matthew Rush dead

04. Rikki-Beadle Blair Kick Off rapidshare

05. Andreas gay

06. porn sex dady prancis

07. Does Shorty J have aids

08. Victor Hoang model

09. women fighting women

10. Do Começo Ao Fim

Matthew Rush Quits Falcon

OMG! MATTHEW RUSH, the man whose left thigh could easily feed a pride of lions for a week, has parted company with Falcon. This news is officially more earth-shattering than David Tennant leaving Doctor Who, Sean leaving EastEnders, and Coolio leaving his mouth shut for more than thirty seconds on Celebrity Big Brother (yeah, that last one is a lie).

Mister Rush started his career with Falcon - home to other ka-os|theory favourites Eric Rhodes, Brad Patton, Roman Heart - in 2001, and has since filled the screen (and various bodily orifices) in twenty-five movies.

The news doesn't come as a shock, following the hoo-ha over that Zeb Atlas scene, but Falcon without Matthew Rush would be like The Shield without Vic Mackey. The good news is he isn't giving up porn, so we can all play "what/who will Matt do next?"

How about an appearance in a Collin O'Neal flick? Or maybe a guest role in the CocoDorm, with Matt sorting out the boys from the thugs? Oh, oh, how about a Bel Ami? Number one on my list, though, would be a scene with real life couple Marvin & Andreas (two of the most exquisite men ever to grace our screens). Or Matt and twins! Matt making Tré Xavier's DP wish come true! Kristen Bjorn! The possibilities are endless.

I'm going for a lie down now, I'm dizzy.

Breion Diamond And A Fan

Oops, that headline should have read "John Legend And A Fan" - but who's to say which one is the fan? Who's the hostage and who's the terrorist?

Have I entered some weird parallel universe in which mainstream, top drawer R&B stars publicly fraternise with top drawer (in more ways than one) gay erotic artistes? Is this real? It can't be. What next - Tom Cruise turning up at a Matthew Rush signing? Will Smith and Tiger Tyson... no, never mind, that's a completely different train of thought.

Here at the ka-os blog, we have a very deep affection for Breion Diamond. His seduction of Shorty J atop a ladder is a classic cinematic moment... (sigh). The Diamond kid has his own blog, which is worth checking out, and you can see plenty more of him here.

Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild

Gay cinema is amazing, and I don't just mean the efforts of the French, the Italians, the Chinese, the Israelis and even the Nigerians. The English can toss out the occasional gay masterpiece, too.

Surprisingly enough, Americanites can too, as anyone who's seen Mysterious Skin will attest. And I have high hopes for the forthcoming movie version of Noah's Arc.
So who watches gay cinema, exactly? Most of my gay friends and aquaintances don't, and I suspect it's mostly women and the dreaded liberal middle classes (in between bouts of coke snorting and civilised dinner parties).
The release of Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild hasn't met with much approval by the mainstream press, but they seem to be missing the point. "What ever happened to gay style and flair?" asks the New York Times. Well, Mister Times, not every fag is blessed with it. (Style and flair, that is).
I wasn't a big fan of Another Gay Movie, to which AGS:GGW is a sequel; it was a trashy 90 minutes with only Matthew Rush and Darryl Stephens holding my attention. It was a gay version of brain-dead American crap like American Pie et cetera.
And that's the whole point.
The beauty of Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild is that we can. Five, ten years ago, would there be a movie like this? It's fun, mindless nonsense that we can tune out to, be grossed out by, laugh, grimace and rail against. We deserve the freedom to be truly awful - breeders do it all the time, and so can we.
Here's to a second sequel - and if you're oblivious to worthy gay cinema, it is out there: you just haven't found it.

The Sun Will Explode

I have a Dell desktop, the specificications of which I knew only when I read them on the order page, and which I instantly forgot when I clicked Confirm Order. (I also have a laptop of some description that stopped working for no apparent reason, but which I'm embarassed to get repaired due to the possibly abnormal volume of porn contained on it.)

Golly though, I'd love my computer to look like this:

Oh, and you wouldn't, I suppose? Bah! Maybe you haven't seen the classic, pessimistic SF space opera Blake's 7, in which everyone was a bad guy, even the good guys, and in which the super-computer Orac looked exactly like the box of delights above.

See? So, the logic is, wouldn't it be awesome if my computer looked just like Orac? Don't get it? Grrr... why do I bother?

Such things as the transparent PC case pictured above are sold by Logisys, as well as "cold cathode super deluxe combo kits, liquid neon thunder patterns, and 5 LED lazer lights" (according to Tech Digest).

That same site, Tech Digest, has news of all manner of cool gadget thingumys, like this 150" Panasonic telly:
Oh-er, it's a big 'un, innit? Perfect for watching Matthew Rush, or even David Attenborough (and no, I don't know who of the two I'd most prefer to spend some time with). If your mind is as filthy as that, you might like this accessory for your iPlod - er, sorry, I mean iPod - or even your mobile phone. Yes indeed, it's what it looks like - a vibrating cock ring, if you please.

Apparently, it activates when you receive a text or call, and even on demand, should the need arise. Well, you just don't get that sort of malarkey with MiniDisc, that's all I'm going to say.

Of course, none of this will matter if the sun explodes in 2011 or 2012. Boffins at The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration say that the sun is going into a new cycle of sunspot activity. The worst case scenario is that power grids will collapse, GPS systems will fail (bad news for planes, trains and automobiles, I suppose) and mobile phone networks will go down (that's a bad thing, is it?)

It's only a possibly, maybe, kids, so don't go out and have loads of unprotected sex because you think civilisation is going to end in a few years. In any case, we'll probably all be flooded out by then thanks to the Americans and the Chinese exacerbating global warming, or be in little bits at the hands of some Islamic nutjobs...

Happy 2008!
