YES, I THOUGHT IT was a gay porn movie too.
It isn't a Jean Daniel Cadinot flick, however, but The Combination, a "powerful and deeply affecting story of a contemporary Lebanese family in urban Australia". It was also withdrawn from cinemas shortly after its release when fighting broke out amongst the audience - although it's now been reinstated.
Those same tensions between white Australians and those of Middle Eastern extraction saw race riots in 2005.
It's a positive step to see Australia facing up to its deeply bred in racism, but it seems to me that this issue is a distraction from the real issue - the horrific conditions faced by Australian Aborigines.
Make sure to visit the official site and check out the trailer.

so there are NO homosexual under tones in the movie?
LOL - I don't know, I don't think so. Although it looks like two boys are kissing in the trailer, but it's so quick I can't be sure.
I have never even heard of this - I live in Australia?
I dont think its distracting from "the real issue" of racism facing Australian aborigines, Other Australian minorities just have to sit and wait their turn till we sort out equality for the Aboriginal Community?
Multiple dialogues about race/racism have to be open simultaneous if we want to efficiently reach a healthy culture/society.
A fight broke out in the cinema over this? I'm shocked and appalled: I mean, Australia is famed for it's culture, refinement, and good manners. Not to mention the near-impeccable social etiquette of its people...
