THIS IS Wesley Sterling, the latest victim of knife crime in London.

The 16-year-old (above) was stabbed to death in Croydon on Sunday.

A 15-year-old was arrested and subsequently bailed until June.

His death follows that of 16-year-old Agnes Sina-Inakoju last week, and 18-year-old Aliza Mirza at Manor Park Underground station on 3rd April. Sterling is the seventh teenager to be murdered in the capital this year. Sofyen Belamouadden (15), and 17-year-old's Godwin Nii Lawson and Olukorede Fajinmi all died from knife wounds in the last couple of months. In January, 18-year-old Isschan Nicholls died in a street fight.
Last year, 11 teenage boys were murdered in London, down from 28 in 2008. The decline was due in part to a Operation Blunt 2, launched by the Metropolitan police to tackle the problem.
