The Creature Trilogy
Horror emerges from the muck and the mire of the Amazon in Universal Studio's classic trilogy The Creature From the Black Lagoon (1954), Revenge Of the Creature (1955) and The Creature Walks Among Us. (1956).
Following the classic "beauty and the beast" motif, Universal created the last of its classic monsters. A half man/half fish throwback from the prehistoric age, which menaces a group of scientists, who want to "bring it back alive!" Veteran Horror film director Jack Arnold, sets the pace and mood and cast such monster film veterans as Richard Carlson, John Agar, John Bromfield and Rex Reason along with damsels in distress, Julie Adams, Lori Nelson and Leigh Snowden to catch the creature's eye. Terrific production values, beautiful cinematography and fast paced action make this trilogy, one to hold your breath and curl up on the couch with.
