This is just lovely. World Trade Center 1 and 2: built from Lego. Here at ka-ostheory, we love the Twin Towers, and we love Lego. How better to celebrate Mr. Yamasaki's beautiful skyscrapers than through the creativity, and innocence, of Lego?

Spencer R.'s acrylonitrile butadiene styrene creation consists of approximately 9000 Lego elements. Spencer's model includes all of the World Trade Center site, comprising the Twin Towers (World Trade Center 1 and 2) and World Trade Center 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

My friend and I were talking about this the other day. We're both of the opinion that the terrorists did in fact win this one since we can't get our shit together and put something bigger and better up.

I want to see the biggest towers in the world standing where they stood.

It is still so unreal and I can never forget what I was doing that day. It was my first day of high school

Noble - what an awful way to start high school. That's so sad.

truthspew - it's a real shame so little has been done. But the construction of the original WTC wasn't exactly plain sailing either... As for bigger and better - I don't know. I like the idea of rebuilding them exactly as they were (an idea that's been mooted).

However, I also like the idea of the "footprints" that are planned, a hugely poignant idea...
