| An extremely rare mineral could tip the balance of the Cold War, and the USA is determined to have it. The only problem is there’s only one place on Earth it can be obtained… the wreck of the Titanic! But with the Soviets also trying to locate the mineral, the two superpowers find themselves in a deadly race against time to do the impossible and raise the Titanic!

Based on the novel by famed best-selling author Clive Cussler, Lord Lew Grade’s production of Raise the Titanic was almost as ambitious as the events it depicts, with a 10-tonne $7 million Titanic model built for the climactic sequence. The film features Richard Jordan (Logan’s Run), Anne Archer (Fatal Attraction), and David Selby (Dark Shadows), starring alongside legendary Oscar-winners Jason Robards (All the President’s Men), and Sir Alex Guinness (Lawrence of Arabia), and a score by legendary James Bond composer John Barry.
