There's a whiff of Grand Dame Guignol in Build It Better, Natalie Imbruglia's latest, and the title unpleasantly recalls Tory horror Boris Johnson's "build back better" slogan, but I'm a sucker for a big, melancholy pop number.

"I'm here alone... Nothing lasts forever", she sings, and it's been sang before, but timing is everything.
