A young New Yorker places an ad for a roommate on September 10, 2001, and the next day his world is shattered. As strangers cycle through his apartment in the weeks after 9/11, he struggles with fear, grief, and the need for connection. Michael Urie (Shrinking) gives a moving performance in this intimate, deeply human story of loss and resilience.

Based on the acclaimed stage play written by filmmaker Brian Sloan (I Think I Do, Boys Life) and starring the show’s original New York cast, this critically-praised indie film illuminates the realities, challenges and even secrets of downtown life in the aftermath of the attack. Its daring simplicity provides a different perspective on 9/11 — one that’s focused on the day-to-day life of New Yorkers seeking connection as they relate their extraordinary and ultimately surprising stories.
