Academy Award winner Susan Hayward gets the star treatment as only producer Ross Hunter could delver in Universal’s lavish production of Fannie Hurst’s classic, romantic, weepie; Back Street (1961).

Gowned by legendary designer Jean Louis, whose designs were Oscar nominated, Susan runs the gamut of emotions and is romanced by handsome John Gavin and tortured by his dipsomaniac, wealthy wife Vera Miles.
