Real life father and daughter, Ryan and Tatum O’Neal, make an unforgettable comic couple in Peter Bogdanovich’s fast paced and extremely funny Paper Moon (1973).
Shot in black and white and set in the mid-west during the Depression, O’Neal plays a Bible salesman/con artist who is called upon to deliver an orphan, Tatum, in an Oscar winning role, to her relatives and their mutual antagonism leads from one hysterical scene to another. It also stars Madeline Kahn in an Oscar nominated role as "good time girl" Trixie Delight, John Hillerman in duel roles as a sheriff and a bootlegger and the hysterical P.J. Johnson as Trixie’s put upon maid Imogene. Fast paced, brilliantly written and acted, it’s the perfect after dinner Thanksgiving delight! Steve Hayes
