Chris Brown

IS IT JUST me? Where exactly are Rihanna's "horrific and brutal injuries" in this leaked police photo. The only difference I can see between this shot and her usual visage is a lack of slap. Love, you got no Maybelline going on, the jewellery's absent and your hair ain't been did. Apart from that - what? Lissen (that's a London listen, not a typo) I was in an abusive relationship. I got beat. Domestic violence isn't a joke; yes, it's wrong and bad. But, you know, I wasn't an angel. He had his reasons for knocking me about. It doesn't excuse it or justify it, but there's two sides to every story, and a man is just a man, with his breaking point. No one knows what went on between Chris Brown and Rihanna, and I'm not going to judge anyone, Chris Brown least of all, until some hard facts are made known. This ain't Ike and Tina; they're both big stars. He's just a kid. You might even say he's a boy, and she's a woman. So with all that in mind, I hope he's okay. Leave the kid alone. 2. Dude this ain't right

"He had his reasons for knocking me about. It doesn't excuse it or justify it, but there's two sides to every story, and a man is just a man, with his breaking point."

There is NOT a single reason to knock another person around in a relationship. "A man is just a man" ain't a reason. There's some mental health issues happening. Sit down talk things out, but don't smack down. No, no, no....that aint right...

One hint of untreated mental health issues in a man, and I'm out the door... hence, I don't date much, but life is to short to be smacked down...both physically and mentally..

Stick and stone will break my bones, but names will make cry.

  3. I so agree. And I've been in domestic situations more times than I can count. Yes, SOS baby, and it wasn't healthy for me to feel that way. I've been cut, bitten, and damn near killed. Yes, up in our crib, we were always BREAKING DISHES, uh huh. And of course, after the cops leave, WE RIDE [each other].

Most times it was my fault, being a bit of a wanker back then [is that British for asshole?] Still, in defending myself, I had to inflict a left hook or two that if he was a GOOD GIRL GONE BAD I would have got locked up for.

People were so quick to light torches and RUN IT down after Chris Brown like he's Frankenstein's monster. If he did beat that girl, he should pay dearly, be in REHAB, even if she was UNFAITHFUL (I love that song!). But damn let the facts come out before storming the castle.

That's what courts, lawyers, judges and juries are for. In the past, people have been lynched and burned at the stake because of reactionary nonesense.

The Rihanna camp likes to say that the Chris Brown supporters just want to suck his dick, or that we just want him to hold us CAPTIVE [love the fact that CB didn't change the pronoun when he sang this song he wrote for the Pussycat Dolls].

Be that as it may [and yes, he could confine me in a hotel room indefinitely], we also won't judge until we have ALL the facts. Because if he is a woman beater, then I couldn't ... okay I'll still wanna suck it, but I'll know for a fact he's all pussy and I'd have to give him a dose of his own medicine.

Actually, that might be quite fun. "I said crawl, bitch!!"

  4. The problem is some people are attracted to men that exude a dangerous element. Though, I personally resent the "a man is just a man with his breaking point" comment. I personally, hold men to a higher standard simply because they ARE men; there are simply things a man should be above. I grew up in a domestic violence household and I remember thinking that for all of my father's pontificating about showing his strength, he was really just so weak and misguided to think that he was actually showing his three sons just how much of a man he was NOT.

Someone needs to make Chris take responsibility for what he DID do, whatever that is, and put all of his "counseling" energy into giving us a more personal new album. Being honest is what will get him back into the fan's good graces. I think this incident with both him and Rihanna will be the test to see what type of artists they really are. Real artists channel their lives into their art...

  5. I'm not particularly interested in the whole thing, but if that is what she looks like, you can't deny she has been hit.

Furthermore, there is no excuse for physical violence, ever. The whole "a man is just a man" argument doesn't wash with me. If that's the case, and axe is just an axe...
