Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that

BACK IN THE summer, we heard about Rikki Beadle-Blair's upcoming gay football flick KickOff, and lots of you got very excited.

The film opens at the Berlin Festival in February. Rikki tells me, "KickOff is swift, sexy, smart and stuffed with surprises. And with bodies like my cast's, you won't need to speak a word of of English or know a thing about football to have a great time!"

Beadle-Blair was the man behind the much-loved Metrosexuality - as well as being heavily involved in Noah's Arc. He also directed the short film
Souljah and the play Faggamuffin, both written by Skin Deep author (and fellow Noah's Arc scribe) John R. Gordon.

KickOff stars many of the sexy and talented actors from those projects, such as Ludvig Bonin, Nathan Clough and Jai Rajani.

Here's the newly-released version of the trailer...
• Make sure you check out the latest instalment of Tired Old Queen At The Movies, which appears every Thursday. This week, Steve Hayes invites us to be entertained by Bette Davis in The Letter. His reviews are fantastically entertaining and insightful and I've already purchased several of his recommendations. A real joy for any movie lover.
