KICKOFF - THE MOVIE

CURRENTLY IN PRE-PRODUCTION is Kickoff - The Movie:

"WHAT HAPPENS WHEN the hardest team in the Sunday Soccer league comes up against a gay team (pun intended) and finds they've finally met their match? Watch and wince as fledging referee Elton Glixton struggles to control this testosterone tsunami as rude-boy meets bum-boy in this outrageous new comedy set in the crazy gung-ho world of 5-a-side footie..."

Written and directed by Rikki Beadle-Blair (left), the film is a "hilarious, fast-paced feature-length comedy about a Powerleague 5-a-side match between a gay footie team and the hardest straight team in East London".

Beadle-Blair was the force behind Metrosexuality, and was also heavily involved in Noah's Arc. He also directed the short film Souljah and the play Faggamuffin, both of which you can read about elsewhere on this blog.

The film stars many of the sexy and talented actors from those projects, such as Ludvig Bonin (left), Nathan Clough and Jai Rajani.

Kickoff will be shown at the London Film Festival in October.
